Beaver Lake Middle School Supply List: all grades!

Middle School supply lists are very different to those used in Elementary school. All supplies are personal and student are encouraged to use their lockers, rather than carrying everything through the day. Different subjects may occasionally need new supplies throughout the year, and teachers will communicate this via Canvas at the appropriate time.

All students will be provided with a 2025-2026 Planner & Student Handbook in the first few days of school.

Essential School Supplies – All Students Daily: Subject Specific Items:

2” 3-ring binder to carry general supplies:

  • 6 Pocketed dividers [or separate folders]
  • 100 sheets College-Ruled Paper
  • 50 sheets graph paper (loose)

Zipping Pencil Pouch containing:

  • Sharpened or propelling pencils
  • Colored pencils
  • 2 large erasers
  • Black or Blue Pens
  • Red Ball Point Pen for correcting
  • Highlighters
  • Glue stick
  • Hand-Held Pencil Sharpener
  • At least one ultra-fine tip black Sharpie
  • At least one Dry-Erase marker
  • Protractor

Other:

  • Wired Headphones with AUX jack
  • Texas Instruments TI-30X IIS Scientific Calculator
  • Ruler
  • Refillable Water Bottle
  • 1 Pack of Post-its
  • Tape
  • 3”x5” index cards

 

Each subject will need an individual binder (with pocketed dividers), or 2 pocket folder.
Some subjects have specific needs, which are detailed on the next page.
Always keep some unused college-ruled lined paper in each binder/folder

Teachers will always outline their specific needs on their syllabus in Canvas at the start of the year.

Math Sequence:

  • Math 1, Math 1-2
    • 1 Spiral graphed or lined Notebook
  • Math 2, 2-3, 3
    • 1 Spiral Graphed Notebook
  • Geometry
    • Plastic or slide-measure compass, with small pencils

Science Sequence:

  • Life Science
    • 1x 1” binder, with 8 dividers
    • 200 3”x5” notecards
  • Earth & Space Science
    • 1x 1” binder
    • 2x 100 sheet composition books
  • Physical Science
    • 1x 1” binder
  • Biology
    • 1x 1” binder, with 8 dividers
    • 200 3”x5” notecards
    • Pocket folder

Spanish

  • 1x1.5” binder with 8 dividers

Language Arts

  • Composition Notebook
  • Read 180
    • Composition book
  • English Language Development (ELD) Class (all grades)
    • 1x 1.5” binder (black or white)

Social Studies

  • Composition Notebook

PE (see student handbook)

  • Change of clothes, or BLMS PE uniform
  • Suitable athletic shoes
  • Deodorant
  • Jacket/warm clothes for inclement weather

Music:

  • Band
  • 1x 1” black binder
  • NOTE: Please do not get an instrument until directed to do so by the teacher

Orchestra
