On behalf of the Beaver Lake Middle School staff, I would like to welcome you to the 2022-23 school year! I hope you are all doing well, staying healthy and have had a relaxing and fun summer break! I look forward to the start of the new school year, and in continuing our collaboration to provide all children with an effective and engaging educational experience. Our goal is also to provide a safe and caring atmosphere, where ALL students experience a positive learning environment.
To our students:
I cannot wait to see you all on our first day of school, August 30th! I hope that you are excited for this coming school year after being out this summer, playing and spending time with your family and friends. It is going to be a good year learning together.
The BLMS staff have been working hard to prepare for your return. Now your responsibilities are to:
1) Attend school daily and arrive on time, ready for the day’s learning experience
2) Complete all homework assignments given by teachers
3) Read daily, to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills
4) Share school experiences with your families, so they are aware of your school life
5) Reach out to your teacher if you need additional support in any area or subject
6) Take care of your physical needs, by regularly getting a full night’s rest and eating healthy
To our parents & guardians:
Remember that you are crucial allies and partners in helping children receive the best educational experience. We look forward to seeing many of you at Curriculum Night on September 13, 2022.
Please also consider joining our school PTSA and volunteer program, as our students can greatly benefit from your involvement and contributions to the school’s program and its operations.
Some examples of volunteer opportunities include:
- The Parent Walk-About Program
- Bringing food or providing supervision at school-wide events
- Student recognition events
- Library support
The wonderful Beaver Lake staff and I feel privileged to be a part of this school family. We thank you for your support.
