Spots May Open at GEHS; Learn More at April 1 Design Fair

general announcement

A small number of spaces may open up at Gibson Ek for fall. Eighth graders who missed the enrollment deadline should still apply. One excellent way to learn more would be to visit Gibson Ek's annual Design Fair & Exhibition on April 1, a late-start Wednesday for middle schools.

During one of three sessions (at 9, 10 or 11 a.m.), which are  set up science-fair style, students present a project that follows Stanford University's Design Thinking process, the framework for project-based academic excellence at Gibson Ek. Middle schoolers in grades 6 and 7 also are welcome to visit. Just beware of Clark Elementary student drop-off traffic between 9-9:15.

Don't miss this opportunity to learn more about a high school that helps students stand out from the crowd during college admissions. Through their Mastery Transcripts that highlight impactful projects, GEHS graduates have earned acceptance to several of the top 30 most selective universities (CalTech, Barnard/Columbia, Northeastern, UCLA, NYU and USC) as well as many others, such as UC schools, UW-Seattle and CalPoly-SLU.

Gibson Ek has been nationally recognized for its approach to mastery-based learning and opportunities for real-world community impact. Learn more on Gibson Ek's Enrollment page at https://gibsonek.isd411.org/our-school/enrollment
