How do I... | |

Tell the school that my child will be absent or tardy | Call or email the Attendance line at 425-837-4157. Include your name, your child’s first and last name, grade, and the reason for the absence/tardy. Please spell your student’s first and last names. |
Take my child out of school early | Call or email our Attendance line or have your child bring a note to the office before school indicating what time you will be picking your child up. Come into the office at least 10 minutes before you need to leave, ask to have your child called to the office and sign out your child. You may need to show ID. |
Find out the school daily schedules | The school day is 8:10 AM to 2:35 PM Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 10:20 AM to 3:30PM on Wednesdays. Our daily schedules are posted online. |
Arrange for a planned absence such as a family trip | Collect a Pre-Arranged Absence Form from the office or download one from our website for absences over 2 days. The form must be signed by all teachers, a parent or guardian, and turned in to the Office for approval by the Principal. Submit at least one week prior to the absence. |

Arrange for my student to ride a different bus | Bus passes are not being issued during 2021-2022. Students are assigned seating on their regular bus home but are unable to travel on alternative routes this school year. |

Students may not carry medications including over-the-counter medications unless approved by the School Nurse and Principal. Contact School Nurse at 425-837-4159. |

Sports FAQ's
What sports are offered? | Typically, Girls Volleyball (tryout), Co-ed Cross Country (non-cut), Co-ed Softball (tryout), Co-ed Wrestling (non-cut), Girls and Boys Basketball (tryout), Girls Soccer (tryout), Co-ed Track (non-cut) |
How do I register my child for sports? | Athletic registration is completed online only through Final Forms. The online registration portal opens at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the upcoming sports season. During the registration process, you will upload the doctor-signed physical form and no longer need to turn it in to the office. Our Bookkeeper will check for clearance of fines and fees. |
How much does it cost to sign up? | All athletes are required to purchase a $35 ASB membership. Each sport is $50, except intramural sports which are $20. |
What are Intramural Sports? | All 6th, 7th and 8th grade students may play on the appropriate intramural team. Intramural teams are no-cut. The fee for intramural sports is $20. Intramural sports start later in the season and games and practices are limited. Intramural teams include: Girls Intramural Volleyball, Girls and Boys Intramural Basketball, and Girls Intramural Soccer, subject to coach availability and player interest. |
How many kids make the team if there are tryouts? | This depends on the sport and will be explained by the coach. |
What time is practice? | Practices begin right after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Practices end at 4:00 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and at 5:00 PM on Wednesdays. There are no practices on Fridays. |
When do Activity Buses run? | Activity Buses run Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays when after school activities conclude. Check the Activity Bus Routes or in the office for bus routes. Note: Activity Buses have limited stops and do NOT stop at all of the regular stops. |
How do students get to games/matches at other schools? | Buses are provided to transport the team. Occasionally parents are required to collect their students from another school; please look for specific information from coaches. |
What is the approximate time games are over? | This depends on the game. Coaches will provide students with pick up information. Parents must pick students up as soon as buses arrive at BLMS. |
Are parents welcome to attend games? | Yes – parents are always welcome at games/matches. If you plan to take your student home directly from the game, you must check out with the coach prior to leaving. |
